iArts - interdisciplinary Arts Maastricht, is a new international three-year Bachelor’s programme for the creative and intelligent multitalented. It builds bridges between fine arts, sciences and society. In the course of the programme you'll work on a series of projects. You'll invent creative and original solutions for current social and cultural issues, in the form of artistic productsartful interventions. During the programme you'll further develop your own direction of artistic and intellectual growth. You'll also learn how to manage your projects professionally and make them financially viable.Hybrid
This hybrid is a joint programme of the Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts, the Maastricht Academy of Music, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of Zuyd University, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University. It is supported by the Hubert van Eyck Academy.
Cross-over
The programme is an exciting cross-over of artistic skills, academic reflection, entrepreneurship and scholarly research. These competencies are fruitfully connected in projects and seminars with a strong focus on today’s societal issues. This makes iArts the first bachelor’s programme in the Netherlands to link interdisciplinarity in fine arts to academic scholarship.
Degree
Since the iArts programme is still officially a spezialization of the Theater Academy, the degree you'll be awarded when you complete the programme successfully is the internationally recognised Bachelor of Theatre.
